Proven Leadership. United Vision. Stronger Schools.
Together, we bring decades of experience, fresh perspective, and a shared commitment to the students, families, and staff of Dayton Public Schools. Three of us have had the honor of serving as board members, fighting for resources, accountability, and student success. Now, with the addition of a bold new voice, we are more focused than ever.
We’re not just running. We’re building.
A stronger board.
A better district.
A future our kids deserve.
This isn’t just a campaign—it’s a continuation of the work we’ve already started. And we’re asking you to move forward with us.
Moving Forward, Together.
VISION & PRIORITIES
We believe in a district where every student feels seen, every staff member feels supported, and every school is a place where potential is nurtured, not limited. Our vision is rooted in equity, growth, and opportunity for students, families, and educators alike.
Strong school districts need strong boards—leaders who can work together, even when they don’t always agree. That’s what we bring: experience, fresh perspective, and a shared commitment to progress over politics.
We’re focused on building a school system where students don’t just pass—they thrive. These are our priorities—and our promise.
WHOLE STUDENT SUCCESS
Whole student success means more than test scores. Academic growth and access to arts, athletics, and extracurricular opportunities must go hand in hand—because students thrive when we nurture both their minds and their passions.
EMPOWERED EDUCATORS,
RESPECTED STAFF
Staff deserve respect, support, and the opportunity to grow—whether they build a career here or take their skills beyond our district.
ALL MEANS ALL
You deserve a school where you feel safe, supported, and seen. No matter who you are, where you're from, or what you need to succeed—we’re fighting to make sure every student has a fair shot and a strong future.

I am honored to announce my candidacy for the Dayton Public School Board.
As a career educator, a proud Dayton resident, and a current Dayton Public Schools parent, I bring a deep and personal commitment to the future of our students and schools. With over two decades of experience in K–12 and higher education—and a proven track record of building programs that drive academic success—I am ready to serve our community with passion, purpose, and results.
My background includes extensive work as a teacher, director, and administrator in both Ohio and Michigan. I currently hold active PreK–12 teaching licenses in both states, and I’ve led award-winning music and academic programs in urban districts like Westwood PreK–8 in Dayton and Oak Park Schools in Michigan. My leadership helped students earn millions in college scholarships, while building pathways to success through the arts, academics, and student support services.
At the higher education level, I serve as Chair of the School of Digital Humanities & Performing Arts, Associate Professor, and Associate Director of Admissions at Wilberforce University. My work focuses on student retention, access, and equity—particularly for first-generation and underserved students. My doctoral research explored how to improve the college success of African American students enrolled in music programs at HBCUs.
As a licensed educator in Ohio and Michigan, university administrator, and active parent in Dayton Public Schools, I understand the challenges—and the opportunities—within our public education system. I’m committed to ensuring every student in our district receives the support, resources, and high-quality instruction they need to thrive. I believe in transparent leadership, stronger community partnerships, and investing in our teachers and support staff.
This isn’t just professional for me—it’s personal. My child is a Dayton Public Schools student, and I want every child in our district to have access to the same opportunities I fight for daily in classrooms and boardrooms.
I am grateful to have bold and experienced leadership and plan to collaborate with all stakeholders to make Dayton Public Schools a district where every student succeeds.
Strong Schools. Empowered Staff. Thriving Students.
